SCOTTISH MACHINE KNITTERS
Administration
The Administration of Scottish Machine Knitters comprises Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Secretary, Newsletter and Website Editor. Committee meetings are held regularly throughout the year and are also attended by Area Representatives. Area Representatives liaise with their local members and arrange workshops, lectures and social events.
Scotland is divided into the following areas:
Dumfries/Galloway/Ayr/South West Area
Dundee/Grampian/Angus Area
Edinburgh/Lothians/Borders Area
Fife/Stirling Area
Glasgow/North Clyde Area
Highlands/Islands/Inverness/Moray Area
Perth Area
The Annual General Meeting is held in May. The committee is elected from those members of the Association who have intimated that they are willing to serve. There are no paid officials but committee member are re-imbursed for expenses necessarily incurred on behalf of Scottish Machine Knitters.
